布達拉宮是西藏的代表，我忙不迭的去見它。
Potala is the heart of Tibet. It
was the first stop I made from the airport.
宮前寬大的廣場，幾乎可與天安門相比。宮墻前面鋪着綠油油的草坪。
The
huge square of Potala Palace is comparable to Tiananmen Square in
feeling.
宮殿廣場的正對面是
“西藏和平解放紀念碑“
Opposite the Palace Square is a monument honoring the "Liberation of
Tibet"
宮殿正門草坪的外面是人行道，人行道過去是車行道，車行道過去才是廣場。
Beyond the lawn of the front gates is the walkway. Beyond the
walkway is the road for cars.
And finally, beyond the driving road is the Palace Square.
