Rose Blanche是個小漁村，有兩百年歷史，大概住著幾百家人。蜿蜒曲折的海岸綫，花崗岩築的燈塔，是紐芬蘭最古老的燈塔之一。
我們到的時候正是大霧，燈塔在雨霧中，朦朦朧朧，看不清四周到底什麽景色，但還是買票到塔裏逛了一下。 後來我發現Rose Blanche 這地名是Roche Blanche(白石)的誤譯，指這附近有一道白色的峭壁，十分壯觀。可惜當時不知道。 |

Rose Blanche is a small fishing village which settled in 1810. It has a rugged coastline and a famous stone lighthouse built from granite. Later I found out that the name Rose Blanche is a misinterpretation of Roche Blanche( white rock）which refers to the white rocky cliffs near this area in Diamond Cove. Too bad I did not know this important fact back then. |
