This is the largest National Park in Newfoundland.  It is designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.  We camped at Trout River which is located in the southern tip of the park.   Due to the park's huge size and curvaceous roads,  we were not able to explore as much as we'd liked.

These pictures highlight a trail known as  "Lookout Hills".   It takes 3 hours to hike to the top.

I was very curious about the pitcher plant flowers when I first saw them.  These flowers open downward, their petals opening up towards the ground.  I decided to peel back the petals to take a closer look.  Pretty, isn't it? Later I found out that it was chosen as Newfoundland's floral symbol by Queen Victoria.  It is now Newfoundland's provincial flower.

We discovered many flora along the trail.

I also liked the Lobster Cove.   I liked the rocks and the lichens growing on them

This is the amphitheater at Lobster Cove.

This is one of the displays in the museum of the park.
