(Bird Island Cove)
Root Cellar)。

The little fishing valley of Elliston has a history of about four hundred years.  The early settlers called it Bird Island Cove, so we know there must be many birds here.   Besides birdwatching,  Elliston is known for their old "houses" that are unusual.  They are called Root Cellar.  See above picture.

Chirp chirp here, chirp chirp there, everywhere a chirp chirp.

We camped here by the sea.  It only cost us $5 per night.
It was the single cheapest fee we paid during the entire trip.
Every scene of nature that I saw here - from wild flowers to sunset,
billows to abandoned boats, was magnificent!

partridgeberries) 。

A fishermen's life is very simple.  I saw two pictures of how their ancestors gathered food (besides fish).  One showed women picking partridgeberries.   So now I know these berries which cover the  ground are edible!   The other photo showed women digging up potatoes.

(Puffins)
Puffins

The most memorable sight was watching the puffins.  They stole my heart.
I even wrote an article about the experience I had here.
It was well worth it to make the journey all the way up to Elliston.

再見
Elliston!
Goodbye Elliston!  Goodbye little puffins! Hope you live peacefully, forever carefree.
