Why came to XunHua?    To see the Yellow River, the mother river of China.

The Bridge of Yellow River in XunHua

Now I can see why our ancestors called it "Yellow" river.

Local people grow hot peppers.
Because their peppers are so delicious, their products are shipped out nationwide.

The houses local people live in

The mosques local people go to.
I found that their mosques are often confused with Buddha temples.

Most inhabitants of Xunhua are Muslim. When I was wandering amongst the alleyways behind local homes, an elderly couple invited us in to chat. In their home grew tall grapevines. They climbed up a ladder to pick a few bunches of grapes to satisfy travelers' curiosity.

The public bus would stop whenever someone needed to use the "natural restroom".

"Bus stops" were unmarked areas where people stood, sat or squatted on the side of the road. They were easy to miss if you didn't know where to look for a bus stop.

At the bus stop, I saw a butcher killing and skinning a sheep,
a common livestock in the Xunhua area.
