第一次長途旅行是小學的畢業環島遊。父親在家境極貧困的環境下﹐花大錢把我送出去玩。由老師帶領﹐從基隆到高雄﹐再轉往臺東花蓮到宜蘭。之後，初中高中大學，什麼阿里山日月潭合歡山太魯閣的，把小小的臺灣都玩遍了﹐還曾參加救國團辦的徒步橫貫公路。

70年移居美國後，腳步更拓寬了幾十倍。75年首次踏出美國，前往西歐旅遊。87年曾進入當時仍在共產集團裏的東歐﹐匆匆走看波蘭﹑捷克﹑匈牙利和南斯拉夫。

三十多年來﹐除了跟家人好友在一起﹐我最快樂的時光就是到處遊歷。

在這網站﹐我想把一些看到的景物和遭遇的故事跟大家分享交流。2002年以前﹐我用的是單眼相機﹐2002年之後﹐我加了數碼相機。不到兩年﹐又添了單眼數碼﹐使帶回來的照片更加豐富。我想將它們整理出來﹐逐一貼在網上。

構想將我的旅行分兩大類。美國的算一類﹐叫『美麗的美國』﹔美國之外的叫『走向世界』。每月貼一點﹐先從我最近去過的地方開始。

The first time I traveled was with my elementary school graduating class, touring around the island of Taiwan.  My dad decided to pay the high price even though my family was in serious financial difficulty at that time.  Led by a teacher, we went from Keelung to Kaohsiung on the west, and then turned to Taitung, Hualien and Yiland on the east.  Afterwards, as I went through junior high, senior high and college, my travel covered almost the entire island of Taiwan, including Mt. Alishan, Sun Moon Lake, Mt. Hohuanshan and Taroko Gorge.  I even participated in a cross-island walk, sponsored by a youth organization, along a highway cutting through a mountainous region of the island.

In the past thirty years or more, aside from being with family and close friends, my happiest time was when traveling to various places in the world.

With this website I want to share with you what I saw and the events that occurred to me during my travel.  I also wish to have exchanges with you.  Before 2002 I used an SLR camera and later I added a digital camera.  Within two years I bought a digital SLR, making my travel photographs even richer in content after each trip.  I plan to organize these photos and post them on the website gradually.

My idea is to divide my travel photos into two categories.  America will be one category and I will name it America the Beautiful.  For the category outside of America, I will name it To the World.  I will post some photos every month, starting from those of my most recent trip.
